Interlopers Storm Hearthstone: Curse of Naxxramas

Hearthstone heroes are storming into the Curse of Naxxramas! The Arachnid Quarter is now crawling!

Hearthstone players have been anxiously waiting to storm into Naxxramas after the twelve hour maintenance completed today. Many missed that this maintenance was not in preparation for the Curse of Naxxramas and thus it would not be launching soon afterwards.

Just wanted to clarify that this maintenance is not for the Curse of Naxxramas Adventure. We will be turning on Curse of Naxxramas for all regions at the same time some time after this maintenance is complete, but please do not expect Naxxramas to be available immediately following this maintenance. Prepare your decks to face off against the infamous undead of the necropolis capital. All adventurers will be able to freely access the first quarter–Arachnid! Storm into Naxxramas and end the curse on Azeroth now.

As mentioned a few weeks ago, players will have a new quarter open to them each week. These wings will be available in the following order:

• The Arachnid Quarter
• The Plague Quarter
• The Military Quarter
• The Construct Quarter
• Frostwyrm Lair

But these later wings will require monetary compensation. After the Arachnid Quarter, players may either spend 700 gold per wing or $6.99 (5.99 EUR/4.99 GBP) per wing. But players can open all of Naxxramas for $24.99 (21.99 EUR/17.49 GBP)!

And you won’t be tied to either purchasing all through either in-game gold or real currency, players will be able to mix and match with bundle pricing! Check out the bundle prices below:

The Arachnid Quarter

It’s time to put on your best boots to stomp some spiders! The Curse of Naxxramas: the Arachnid Quarter is now open! All players will be able to face off against the twisted host of bosses for free until September (end date TBA) during the month long launch event.

The Arachnid Quarter hosts undead humanoid arachnids and their masters, who are eager to eat . . . er, meet you. Victory over these creepy crawly cretins will reward you with all-new Hearthstone cards!

Players will have to defeat three bosses to complete the quarter. First up will be the undead nerubian, Anub’Rekhan. Defeating him will reward you with Haunted Creeper with a death rattle ability similar to the Harvest Golem.

Next, players will interrupt Naxxramas’s mistress of venom, Grand Widow Faerlina, from training new acolytes from worshiping the master. Players will then be rewarded with the Nerub’ar Weblord.

The final boss is the massive Spider Queen, Maexxna. Her web is filled with creepy crawlies that may overwhelm adventurers facing against her. Squash her and her brood and you will earn Nerubian Egg for yourself as a memento.

After defeating all bosses in Naxxramas: Arachnid Quarter, Maexxna will join players as a Legendary card. But that’s not all. A new challenge will be unlocked–Class Challenge!

These Class Challenges will put your skills with those specific classes to the test! If you overcome these Challenges, you’ll be rewarded with new class-specific cards to add to your collection.

Also, players will be able to challenge Heroic mode Arachnid Quarter. The bosses will be more challenging than their normal version. Even the most seasoned veteran may find themselves developing Arachnophobia.
